Eiley Celeste, born 1:23 AM Eastern Time...7 pounds 8 ounces, 19 inches long.

Mom and baby are doing fine.  Grandpa is bouncing off the wall and dancing like a banana.  :-()

Eiley is pronounced Ay-lee...think "I before E except after C or when pronounced like an A as in neighbor and weigh."

If you leave out that last part, you get it wrong :confused:

I tend to look for patterns (not that they mean anything, I just do) in families.  But I totally missed this one.  DD popinted this out to me.  Eiley is DD's oldest daughter.  DD is PJay's oldest daughter.  And PJay is her mom's oldest daughter.

Kind of cool, I think.

That is kind of cool.  Happened in my family too ... I'm in your daughter's spot.  We make jokes about it all the time ~ my poor daughter.  The first-born daughter of a first-born daughter of a first-born daughter ... bound to be some control issues there!   :p
