Here's a mod that I'm quite proud of. We found out on our first trip four years ago, that with any kind of warm weather that the built-in cooler in our Palomino was fairly inefficient. It needed at least one or two bags of ice every day, and the only thing we kept in it was pre-chilled drinks. It didn't bother us too much, until we saw how well Coleman's Powerchill works. We replaced it that first year, but I had let the cutting of wood I had done alone, and also the wires were a jumbled mess (See 3rd picture).

So, I put corner moulding around the edges, and stained it (see 2nd picture). It matches the old paneling perfectly, IMHO. I also "reorganized" the wires under the "shelf" next to the cooler. This wiring was not original, remember: It was simply a cooler originally. I now have 4 sources of electricity (see 4th picture): two sources for 12V (the converter doesn't do a great job of charging anyway, so I separated the battery from the converter), one source of 110V, and a 12V transformer (Coleman) that is plugged into 110V and provides good voltage (better than the battery OR converter). I then had "labels" made by Office Depot and screwed them down for a final, professional look (See 1st picture).

Do you have plenty of ventilation for the "warm" side of the powerchill?  I don't see any in your illustrations.

Yes. I put in a vent on that side. See attached pic. Good point to make.
