Question, I just purchased a '78 Ouachita pop and I need to order a new top for it. Who manufactuered these and where would I be able to buy a new top?

I dont know who makes them but you can try one of these two sites......

Ummm, what do you mean by a new top, you have a hardtop unit or a canvas top? With the model year of 1978 I don't think you're going to find any NEW replacement parts of any kind. You may have to rebuild your top or find something close that will work...

Good luck!

The only references I could find for Ouachita is the federal forest that spans Arkansas and Oklahoma, so I assume the trailer was made in or around that area. A an RV maker the company doesn't come up on my current or obsolete manufacturer data bases so it had to go out of business before 1980 where the data bases start.
If it's a true tent trailer with a full canvas roof there are several suppliers of new canvas, even with new better materials if you want.

If it's a hard roof, you're sort of SOL. No one currently makes replacement hard top roofs other than the OEM manufacturers. Just not enough volume to support a business.
Roofs can be DIY rebuilt, figure it'll take removing it to work on the ground rather than overhead, about 40 hours of labor and between $200 and $600 for materials depending on what you use and how cheap you can find your choices.
