There has been some discussion of foregoing the rally breakfast potlucks and just concentrating on the dinner potluck. Should we have a breakfast potluck at the Lopez Lake rally...or not? Tell us what you think!

We love the breakfast and dinner potlucks!  Maybe we could just make it an optional potluck for those of use who think camping = consuming mass quantities!

We love both potlucks and enjoyed the later time for breakfast..8:30 gave me just a little more time.  Lopez Lake is fine with us...so is the date as were out June 20.  please place us near the center of the activities we always seem to be of the edges...want to be closer to the action...So I don't have to stumble to far after the catus coolers and wine.

We are up for Lopez Lake.  We enjoy both potlucks and think that if the parents watch over the kids' portion sizes, things may go smooth.  I know that if I didn't take extra portions at Vail Lake (for the kids), DH wouldn't have had anything to eat.

We enjoy the breakfast potluck as well.   If some do not want to do it than have it as an option.

Wow, I don't check the board for one day and a new location is decided already!  Wow.  I'll have to check it out.

Glad we didn't go any farther north or it would be very questionable.  But -- though others like it, June will be harder for us to go.  Our loss.

We also enjoy both potlucks  :) makes meal planning so much easier for the trip. but at the same time, if you happen to be at the end of the line, a person could go without the good stuff. maybe a simple solution would be to have both potlucks on small group campouts and only have the dinner one on the larger group campouts.
Hope we can make the Lake Lopez trip. One of my favorite spots to camp.  :D

It seems to me that the easy solution is to show up with some food, if you want to participate :-() .

Those that don't want to participate....... show up, if you want, just don't eat the food that others brought for the potluck. :sombraro:

Am I being too naive here?

either way is fine with me. Brad's idea is good too. Temecula was ridiculous! but Campland turned out perfect. I'm a leaf in the wind, I go where the group goes :D

Again the kids need to be with the parents so they could be taught portion control. My son included..I had to keep on him. they don't realize by the time you get one spoonful of several things, it's one huge plate they can't eat. Their visual is of a home or restaurant meal with 3 things on a plate in a larger portion size. so to them that's a portion.

I know this is way later than this thread started... but I'll still put my 2 cents in.

I like both the breakfast and supper potlucks.  I think they would be nice if perhaps they were on different days.  What does everyone else think?
