I bought an old Starcraft for a winter project and noticed on the door that it says locking rods must be in place to prevent roof collapse.  What are locking rods?  On my old popup it had the tubes that fit over the support columns at opposite corners.  The Starcraft didn't come with these.  Anyone have any ideas?

Those "tubes" that you refer to, I would guess your referring to the "C" channel saftey feature which the Goshen Lift system has had for years. As for the reference for the '80 model Starcraft, why don't you give Starcraft tech services a call and I'd bet they could clearify that for you in short order. Then let us know if it's something unique.

Have your VIN# when you call Starcraft. That's how they look up parts and such, not with the model number.
