I've got no idea what it was earlier, but right now in Baltimore, it's 28.  Feels pretty cold to me.  It is a little cold for this time of year.

Last week here in Lancaster, Ca. when I left for work it was 12.  That's cold wherever you are as far as I see it. Luckily we are back up to the 20's-30's for lows now.  I know AB......it gets to -150 in Minnesota.  But we are in "Sunny Southern California" here.  LOL

Why, it's so cold over here along the s.e. North Carolina coast, this morning, I even saw a lawyer with his hands in his own pocket!

So this man hires a lawyer, and a few days gets a bill for $150 for "advice" dated June 15.

He calls the lawyer and asks what is going on.  "I hired you on June 17, so how can you bill me for advice on June 15?"

The lawyer replies, "Don't you remember the conversation we had a few days before, when I told you to let me take care of that issue?"

"Yes."

"That was the advice."

I saw this in an on-line newspaper from July of 1917...but then, the bill was for $5.  Lawyers (or at least the jokes) have not changed in 90 years.

Well it is cold here.  I had to turn the propane space heater on in the basement.  Now the floors feel warm.:D

It was 18 degrees here this morning, up a degree from yeaterday. Global warming?........

CampDirt

Alright, I think it was the coldest here in the mountains a week ago Saturday.  At 7:00am the outside thermometer at the chalet in Breckenridge read -9 (yep, a minus sign).  It warmed up to a whopping 5 degrees by 11:00am.  The wind chill factor at the top of the ski runs (and it was windy! and foggy making seeing almost impossible) was (again a minus sign) -12.  Needless to say, it was the coldest skiing I've ever done!  Skied for two hours and called it quits...  nothing like a nice warm fire in the fireplace on a frigid arctic day.

I was raised in southern Florida and saw snow for the first time when I was 34 years old. My idea of seeing snow is to view it through an insulated picture window while relaxing by a good hot fire and sipping from a snifter of good brandy.........

While I could go for that, I can understand those who enjoy it plastered on a lexan windshield while straddling a speeding snowmobile.

Yep, snow is cold.  But sometimes, it's fun, too.

Here in the frozen lands of Minnesota, there's a saying (it's not entirely true, but it's got a point):

"There's no bad weather, only bad clothing."

Wow...  it is Midnight here.

The temperature has plummeted.  Sort of.

It is down to 60 degrees.  I've had my whole-house fan running upstairs (to cool the bedrooms) for an hour now.  Given our current weather, if I can get our room down to 57-58 degrees before I go to bed (and turn off the fan), it will only be 65 when we wake up -- due to the "stored" heat in the house.

This cold weather sucks!  :-()

(of course, a couple of weeks ago, before our late rainy season started, overnight lows were hitting 35-40...)

Old Goat

Tempatures around here will be 15-20 degrees above normal for this weekend, up in the low seventies. If this is caused by global warming, I'm all for it.....
