Need Beach Camp Ground

We have a reunion beach camping trip every year for the past 20 years and this is the first time we haven't been able to get spots.  Anyone know of a private beach campground between silver strand state beach and doheny or san clemente?

There's nothing that I would consider "beach" camping.  Campland at Mission Bay and Chula Vista RV Resort  are on the water but not at the beach with waves and sand.

There are a couple of small RV parks in Oceanside but not on the water and they didn't sound inviting to me.

How about San Onofre "Bluffs" campground?  Freeway close!
