Please Note: No Strollers, oustide food or drink is allowed onboard. Our trains consists of vintage and antique pieces of rolling stock, most of which were built before the modern amenities of air conditioners and heaters. We suggest "weather-friendly" clothing as the warm summer days can be anchored by cool days and made more comfortable with a light coat or sweater. State law prohibits smoking on the train. Children must be accompanied by an adult when walking through the train. No alcohol may be brought onboard.

If anyone has an extra adult train ticket let me know and I'll buy it off of you because we are bringing Gregory's friend Jacob too.  Otherwise, I'll contact the train company directly to see if any tickets are still available.

I'm getting a little annoyed with this ScCampers tradition of RAIN!!!!

They are predicting "Few Showers" on Saturday. Shouldn't be a real concern. At least it won't be cold :frosty:

I have about a hundred pounds of hardwood cutoffs from a cabinet shop- they ought to burn a lot longer than the pine lumber scraps I had last trip.

Road Update:

I-5 northbound truck lanes are open.  I-5 South to 14 East connector should be open.  I-5 South truck lanes closed which will likely slow traffic for the return trip- but I was far more worried about the drive up on Friday than the return trip Sunday.

The 5 is open, however, it is a mess. The traffic south bound is worse than North due to all the lookie loos. Trust me on this, I just went both ways not 1 hour ago.  Whatever you see on the news or read on the net is crap.
