Quote from: Chez WayYes, I also want to say how much we appreciate the role of wagonmaster at all of the rallys but especially for this rally. Bob, you have done an incredible job of coordinating the campsites and scheduled activities as well as putting up with all of us high maintenance rally goers. Thank you soooo much for everything. Our family is really looking forward to a great weekend beginning with the pancake breakfast, the train ride, the costume contest, the potluck, the raffle and hopefully to the poker game (seems like we'll NEED the energy drink!)...woohooo!

You all need to stop!  I am gonna cry!  We are looking forward to it too!  Bob has done a great job and I can't wait!

I'm sure Bob appreciates everyone's comments and will reply when and IF he makes it home. He was on his way to the Rv show and wasn't aware of the accident that has the 5 freeway closed. He has been stuck in traffic for hours and is waiting to get turned around so he can get back home. He said he was moving about 10 ft. every 5 minutes.:yikes:

That's gonna make the 101 and 126 double ugly :(. However, it should be opened by next Thursday.

Kim where is the best place to buy sugarless candy for Josh?

Finally, we are undecided what to bring to the potluck. I will talk to Lori.

Go Red Sox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I purchase his candy from Richards least favorite store in the world WALMART.

Thanks for asking.

BTW - 99c store has chocolate sugar free wafers in the cookie isle and Josh will lick his chops if he sees those.  YUMMY!

Quote from: DK&3kidsI've been biting my tongue (or in this case typing fingers) all week, but I just want to post that being the wagonmaster of any rally, but especially one that involves so much organized activities is a challenge and a labor of love. I want to join Lisa and Brian in saying to thank you to Bob that our family is really looking forward to next weekend. Thank you, in advance to Dieter for the t-shirts, Mary and Sean for the craft, Bob for organizing the train ride, Dee for being willing to buy the breakfast ingredients in advance, Trina for, I'm sure, supporting Bob and offering help, and to all the other behind the scenes helpers that make this happen. For me - speaking for my children - this is in the top 3 events of the year for them and I truly appreciate all of the hard work that is making it happen.

I'm off my soap box - I'll see you all Friday.
I agree - I can imagine all the time and stress that goes in organizing any rally but especially "the largest 1 of the year".  Bob has been trying to make as many of us as happy with things as he can.  Because of him and his constant calling to the campground, EVERYONE who wanted to attend is going.  Thanks to all that are involved in the this years' rally.  It is appreciated.

Thanks for looking out for my sanity! It was pushed to the limit today! As you can see I have made it home. I took a few pictures but the sheer madness of me wanting to try to get someplace that was totaly out of my control! I am a patient person and can take alot but the day spent sitting for hours and going nowhere, well it sucked!!
Now moving on to lighter side of sanity. I want to thank all of you who have helped me get this rally squared away. The only thing left to do is to have fun and enjoy ourselfs and our kids as best as we can! Fly our flags proudly and when the Ca. campers stroll by well I can't be responsible and Im not saying that anything would happen! I also never thought I would sit on the fwy for hours and hours and hours :yikes:
So lets come together for a good time and work together to make this a success! Im sorry it already is a success because all of you who are coming! :-()

that's too funny.. we need to video The breaching team!!

TheViking

The breaching Team cannot be filmed, as it will be detrimental to us should any competitors looking into competing in this sport see our gameplan and moves.

Bob, Toni and I will be bringing Cajun style buffalo wings and a cold potato salad.

Dee4j

Dan is about half done with Kara's costume...hopefully he will get it done in time, Then I have to figure out how to get it there w/o messing it up :eyecrazy:

Dee4j

Hey BRAD...I was going to go the 210 to the  5 to the 126

should I now go 210 to 134 to 101 to 126???

I maybe leaving earlier of Thurs. It depends on Kara's chicken pox. she has 4 stubborn ones that haven't scabbed up (they better by Thurs :yikes: ) 3 of them should be good by tomorrow and the one on the bottom of her foot may not be ready until Wed. so I may just get her work and home school her another week..ugh!!

Which costume would be more appropriate for Doofus?
