NC Questions

We are planning to visit a college, UNCW, with DD (gasp) in February.  We plan to spend two nights in the Salter Path area and then one night in Wilmington.  What touristy things must we do?  We've been in Salter Path before, in the summer, so DH could scuba dive so we didn't have a chance to do much else.  I seem to recall reading about an aquarioum there?  Are there any good shops where I can stock up on beach stuff for home and camper?

There's a couple of aquarioums, Pine Knoll (nearer to Salter Path), there toll free number is 866/294-3477  AND, a little closer to Wilmington is Fort Fisher, on Kure Beach, toll free number is 866/301-3476
There will be plently of beach stuff at either of these places, but should it not be what you want, not to worry ... beach shops all over the area!

In Wilmington itself, there's the USS North Carolina battleship to visit, and you could also take a river cruise, boats are right there on the water front.  And some pretty good resturants there along the river, too.
