Sea Pine hitch height

Hi all,

Getting ready to pick up a new 2007, Sea Pine.  The tow height with the trailer level to the top of the ball is 16.5".  My 4X4 Silverado receiver height from the street to the top is 19.5".

So...my drop is about 5".  Since this isn't standard would you go with a 4" or 6" drop?  ....or doesn't it matter either way?   Don't want to do this twice to keep it level.

Since there is about a 3 inch drop between the truck and the camper, I would go with a 2 or 4 inch drop.  I would expect that you will have a little drop in the back of the truck with the camper hitched and the truck loaded.  Where do you like to camp?

Usually, we'll camp at the Army Corp. Lake campgrounds and State Parks in Georgia.

We haven't camped in Georgia yet.  Some day we will get there.  We also like camping in State Parks and National Parks.

Like Tracy said, you will have a bit of rear end drop with the camper on, plus anything you put in the bed.  Unlike my Tahoe, which auto levels, I don't think that the Silverados do, so you could in theory, put the tongue weight plus cargo weight in the truck and re-measure.

Good advice.  The truck dropped 1.5 inches with 200 lbs on the back bumper.  4" drops works great.

All I'd have to do is put myself on the tailgate and watch it drop...measure from there...:p
