Memorial Weekend at the Ritz of RV Parks (5/25-5/28)

It doesn't look like we will be camping this Memorial Weekend. But we're thinking about visiting on Saturday evening. If we do we will bring something for the potluck dinner. We miss our camping friends!!

I'm not sure yet. I'm HAVE to get the yearbook done..the kids have a choir concert Thurs nite and "field day until 1 pm on friday. my plan is to show up with the trailer in tow friday morning but not sure that will happen if not I'll probably get there around 5 pm  :banghead:

Jim are you bringing your firepit?? I will have mine but yours is much bigger..we can put it in my site if you want

not quite sure when i will get there...one of the girls i work with is out all week and it's been so busy. I'm driving Darkside solo (well, Darby will be riding shotgun) and i had planned on getting there early afternoon, but most likely be early evening...Wes is coming directly from work (he works in Anaheim), so he may get there before me...so, Dee, if you get there and he's homeless, will you take him in?
 
 
Jim, size matters, when it comes to Dee's fire, so please bring your firepit...you know how we all like scoot out into the street as her fires gain their intensity

Due to circumstances not under my control......

I will be changing my Saturday nite potluck selections. it may come down to just throwing a bunch of clothes in the TT and grocery shopping Saturday after breakfast..

of course I will take Wes in..he may be full of Cactus coolers by the time you arrive :p

I "should" be leaving Anaheim hills about 1 pm and taking the toll road so I should be there about 1:30-ish

well just got home from the store and starting Sat. morning let the eatfest begin :J

I will be BBqing Hot Dogs, and 2 types of  chicken sausage a Basil tomato something and a bell pepper & onion I think

I'm still going to make Mary's oh so yummy potato casserole

It depends on the kids what time we get there. I'v come to the realization that I am only one person , I can't do everything and be everywhere at the same time. so they have to decide whats more important. getting to the campground in the early afternoon and Mom not be there for field day or Mom going to field day and getting there after dinner....The horrible mother in me says go camping early, :Z  but the guilty mom feels I need to go :% ..too bad half of me could stay and half go.

Dave any luck on a cancelation?? I would still check tomorrow morning

update: I just called and still no cancellations, all they can offer right now is dry camping in the parking lot :%  :banghead:

So it looks like no one will be going hungry this weekend...yummy!  The plan for us is that Jim will head up with the trailer in the afternoon with his fire pit and I will follow sometime thereafter with the rest of the wild Ways.  My brother and his son will probably be joining us for dinner Saturday night so it looks like we will have a nice group of campers and visitors.  All are welcome.  We'll see everyone in Newport...yeeeehaaaa!  It's camping time.

I still have to get a few things at the grocery I forgot. i may have Dan Stop on his way in.

          Sun. Breakfast..I'm thinking muffins

                 Dinner: grilled chicken (fajita style) rice & pinto beans

Thanks everyone for the great time we had Saturday night and for the marvelous food. It was so good!!!!!!!! We had a lot of fun and congratulations to Dee for being the big winner in poker. She was focused and determined to bring home the bacon. Karen and Jeanne were also big winners too. We miss you guys and look forward to seeing everyone at the Flower Festival Rally.
