If she doesn't like snow, she'll need to see if she can get a different assignment.  That area always gets snow (although 6 feet might be a wee bit more than usual).

Actually, it's her husband that is in the army (infantry officer). Last year when he was deployed, she came back home to stay with us.  This year, she plans on staying in Ft. Drum if he goes on another deployment.  Hopefully they will get another assignment when he gets back from deployment next year.  We all knew about the snow there.  We found out that they supposedly send troops from Alaska to Ft. Drum in the winter to get winter training.
