Kim, this is somewhere we've gone frequently and never had a bad experience.  Family owned, well kept, feels very woodsy.  If you can, get in the Boomerang section.  Best access to the pool/shower area and no traffic going by unless they're in the Boomerang too.  Nearby is the Bates Nut Farm, which you have to go to, especially since you have young kids.  Also fairly close is Bell Gardens, which is cool.  Their train ride used to be free when the founder of Taco Bell owned it, but now there's a small fee.

We've taken friends who don't camp there, as well as my daughter's Girl Scout troop had their first campout there.  We were just saying the other day that we hadn't been in a while and may try to get there.

There is another campground near there called Lilac Valley or Lilac Woods or soemthing like that.  I would not recommend them.  Stay far, far away!!!!
