Yes, your Congress discovered it had the power, and voted to change Daylight Savings Time.  So instead of being the first Sunday in April, it is the second Sunday in March, starting this year.

So at 2:00 AM on Sunday, March 11, it will suddenly and majcally become 3:00 AM. (Spring forward, fall back.)

In our house, we set our clocks ahead the hour just before bed.

Lots of people are going to miss this, and will be late for church tomorow.

Aren't our representatives wonderful. We'll save so much electricity buy keeping our lights on longer in the morning instead of at night. I've downloaded all the patches and will set the clocks before bed. I've already done my car.

BTW, it's definitely shorts weather tomorrow. 80+

What I find funny about the new date for all of this is that we don't hear any Y2K-like talk, no one is in a panic this time.  If you have a programmed date and time electronic items, it will not change times anymore on the correct date and if you change it, it will change again on the date it is programmed.  Computer, VCRs, TVs, etc can all be effected so with the computer part, I thought I would hear more about it.  Where I work, they spent the past 3 months putting in computer patches and updating software to prepare.  They have most things ready, but not everything.  Should be fun to see if anything gets impacted.

Thank You, AB!!

I just finished doing my taxes (another thank you to our representatives) and thought I'd check in real quick before I went to bed.

I would have been one of those late for everything tomorrow!
