 Hey Folks,
I m posting this here since I can t post polls on the Olema thread.

I found a company near Olema that does Hay Wagon Rides.  Their team of horses take your group for a ride in a authentic ranch wagon filled with hay for a memorable trip up the Stewart trail.

Cost is $5.00 per person with a minimum of $100 for the group.  Is this something the group would be interested in setting up?

NickUhmmmm.... how many times can we vote?[;)]

Four family members here, and we ll all ride, so that makes twenty bucks for the pot. Should I vote four times, or will my chads dimple?

NickI can t talk to G-whiz right this second, but I can anticipate her answer ALL READY.

" Up Stewart hill!!! It s a sign."   Ask her why at the rally.

-Are you putting the cart before the horse?
-You can lead the horse to the trough, but you can t make  em drink.
-You shouldn t kick a gift horse in the mouth.
 - Quit horsing around.

 Count me in.

SurfcalUncle Ray, will you tell us again why Henry Ford wanted to develop the automobile?  Tell about how he hated the smell and upkeep of horses.

If we take the " HEY"  ride will we smell like farm animals???? Just asking, just askin

SurfcalA horse may be coaxed to drink, but a pencil must be lead.

NickWell it took some persuading, but I finally got DW to agree to the hay ride.

She was bitten by a horse fly when she was younger, and so has always had a phobia about horses, so with this pending hay ride coming up, she has been going three times a week to a therapist to overcome this phobia, and all the weeks of hard work and thousands of dollars have paid off, and she is finally ready to come close to a horse again.
She is so excited to finally be able to partake in one life?s simple joys, a hayride on a horse driven cart.

DD has severe hay fever allergies, so was also apprehensive about the hay ride, but we spoke with a specialist and with no expense spared, she has been receiving daily medication to overcome this allergy, and the doctors say she should be ready in a week to be near some hay, so she is also looking forward to the event.

DS#1 has to do a school project during his spring break and he has chosen the Hay ride as his topic. He has been researching Hay rides in the library, in books and on the internet, and cannot wait for the event, as an actual trip on a real live working hay ride will put the finishing touched to his project.

DS#2 has been learning about horses in school and is so looking forward to seeing a horse in person. He has found that they are fond of carrots, and at the supermarket yesterday insisted we buy a bag of carrots so that he could feed them to the horse, that will be pulling us on this momentous hayride.

DS#3 has also been learning about horses in school. He has even learnt how to draw one and is also very excited about the hayride, and seeing a real live working horse.

In order to record this event for us as a family to watch over and over again over the years, I have invested in a state of the art all digital, video camera. I will also be able to send copies of the event to the children?s grandparents back home. I know it was expensive, but the final result, justifies the expense.

So all 6 Quigs are really excited about hayride, and feel it will be the highlight of this camping trip, if not one of the highlights of family outings for the year.

Thanks again Nick, for all the effort, and countless hours you have spent putting this event together.[;)]

 NickHey Keven,
That was funny.  I hope you read the post in the rally section that the hay ride was cancelled.[:(]
