Whats up Limejeepe,
We went to Franklin/Bryson City North Carolina area last year for vacation.Very cool area, whitewater rafting, lots of hiking trails,etc..
Now this was before we had a popup so we had rented a house on Lake Nantahala, beautiful lake.We rented pontoon boats and cruised the lake.
There is a campground minutes outside of Bryson City, could'nt tell you much about it but others might be able to.There is a nice stream that runs through it,with lots of tube rentals to go down the stream on.
It took us 12 hours from West Palm Beach without towing a popup.

Have fun wherever you go,
Mountaindew

Vogel state park (GA) is very nice.

What types of activities are yall looking for?  That would be a factor in where you need to camp.  Several good options in Northeast GA and Northwest GA.

We camp there at least once a year.   Located on the western edge of Lookout Mountain, this is one of the most scenic parks in the state of Georgia, offering rugged geology and beautiful vistas. The park straddles a deep gorge cut into the mountain by Sitton Gulch Creek, and elevation differs from 800 to 1,980 feet. The most spectacular view into the canyon is found near the picnic area parking lot; however, additional views can be found along the rim trail. We hiked this trail and I can tell you  the views are beautiful!

Stores are less than 30 minutes away in Trenton, GA but the park is so beautiful you may not want to leave.

Attentive campground hosts assure that everything in the park is always in tip top shape.

While reservations are taken, they are not site or campground specific.  They have two campgrounds, one on the west rim and one on the east rim.  You can reserve one of three type sites; Type 7 which is the smaller of the sites, Type 9 which are the larger of the sites and a handicapped site.  Upon arrival, if you have a Type 7 reservation you can take your pick of the sites marked with a red site sign in either campground, If you have a Type 9 reservation you take your pick of the sites with a green site sign in either campground.  A pop up will fit on either type site, and I must admit that both types have a mix of great sites and not so great sites.  Additionally, if thee are no more type 7 or 9 sites available, you are entitled to reserve a handicapped site.

Hey Lime...this is superman from FJOA.

Contact yellowxj.  He lives in GA between Blueridge, GA and Murphy, NC (Tellico area).  He may know of some places...plus you may be close neough to go to Tellico (never a bad thing).

We're going to be honeymooning in Amicalola Falls in late July and are considering taking the camper instead of staying at the lodge.  Supposed to be a nice place.

how goes it .i have one of those faucets for you if you want it .it either pumps from a tank or canbe used with park pressure.

Just an FYI. We live in Murfressboro TN but grew in North GA and all of the family is still there. We camp in the area often and I would not recommend camping at Amicalola Falls. Great area nice lodge but the camp ground is on top a hill with zero shade. North GA in July without shade is not pleasant. I would stick with the lodge.

Check out James H "Sloppy" Floyd Park in Summerville.  It is a nice campground with a lake for fishing.  Also, Oglethorpe Power has a campground called Rocky Mountain that is near Rome GA.

Also highly recommend Cloudland Canyon. Glad you booked there. You won't be disappointed.

I would second Fort Mountain SP. Swimming, fishing, hiking, minature golf, and some mountain bike trails. There is horseback riding near the park.
