How many nights do you usually camp at one campground before moving on or going home?

Where's the choice for "it depends"?   Most weekends in the summer we go from Thursday to Sunday ~ 3 nights.  We also do one longer vacation per year ~ usually a week to 10 days in the same place.

So I guess we usually camp for 3 nights, but sometimes more ...

I am with Kelly.  Most of our trips are weekend trips but we always toss in a week long trip over the summer too.  All the trips usually involve only one campground.
 
I would love to go on a longer trip to see our beautiful country,  In that case I think at least 2 nights per cg would be good.

Chalk up another "It depends"!

Quickie weekend trips are most common, but we do try to get away for a week or two as well each summer.  It is most ideal to set up in one place for five nights, and adventure out from there.

It also depends on the campground and the nieghbors.

I fall into the same category as everyone else: Lots of weekend trips, but when we can we do a few weeklong trips. Last year we camped about 35 nights. about 80% of that was weekend trips.

I too agree.  We do mostly wknds of 2 to 4 ngts, which I didn't see 4 on your list, and when we travel we tried staying 3 to 4 ngts at each cg last year and it worked well.  DH said it was the first time he had traveled and not been in a hurry.

We usually camp Fri-Sat nights and when the time is right Mon. too.  The exception is when we go to Yosemite and then we stay 4.
