We understand from the dealer that Coachman Clipper sells a 4 bike rack which could be installed for $370.  The dealer says that it could also be used to hold canoe, kayak, etc.  It mounts on the tongue and behind the front storage bin (at least this is how it looks in the brochure).  We would like to bring bikes with us on our camping adventures.  Do you recommend this rack or do you have other suggestions?

We are newbie PUP owners; anxious to learn from others experiences.

Here's one we've used for a couple of years without any trouble.Bike Rack I did a few mods to it though. I added some large flat pieces of marine grade plywood under the mounts with foam under them to spread out the load on the roof. Also, the instructions say to mount it by drilling into the roof for the mt brackets. I didn't care for that so I use straps with flat hooks to mount it by running the straps over the sides and attaching them to the underside of the roof.

Personally, we haul 3 bikes - with a Tahoe.  We have a front receiver and put the bike rack there.  Because we have two dogs, we wouldn't want anything mounting on the trailer tongue, because it interferes with opening the rear hatch.

Front receivers have their own adventures.

I have a Pro Rac bike rack that mounts to the tongue of the PU.  I like it a lot.  It was easy to install and works well.:)
