Yep, PJay and I are celebrating our 25th Anniversary tonight (and this weekend, and in June :D ).

Three kids, two weddings (OK, one wedding and another next month), one grandchild, and counting.  :D

Oh, and for the past 25 years, I've been married to the best woman in the world.  I only wish I'd been a better man; she deserved better than me.  So I got the better part of the bargain.

Just watching the news.....looks like you guys around Anoka are under a tornado watch. I'll be praying for you.

My family lost everything to a tornado in Anoka in 1965. Scary stuff.....Not the most fun way to celebrate an anniversary.

OC Campers

Congratulations to both of you.

Thanks.  We're all clear.  DS's bus was called back and the stuents held at the High School for about 45 minutes.  I've already seen pictures of orange-sized hail about 5 miles south of us.

BTW, the Anoka High School sports teams are now the Anoka Tornados.  Oh, and people still tell stories of the '65 Anoka tornado.

I'll never forget it. My brother and I went to the roof to watch the tornadoes. There were 5 of them that we could see going at the same time. One spout went up in the sky just before it got to town. We thought that was really cool until it came back down, right in the center of town. We jumped off of the roof and ran to the basement of the bowling alley, next door. We no sooner than got inside and the entire building and our house were demolished. My father & mother thought that we were dead. They had no idea that we made it to the bowling alley basement.  WHOOOOOO :yikes:  was my dad angry :swear: . I never heard him cuss before.

I can understand why.  I know I have no intention of being the hero.  I will always treat tornados with deep respect.  It makes me wonder how folks (including PJay's brother) can live in Tornado Alley.  :(

We have one TV weather guy who says "We are not in Tornado Alley, but we are in Tornado Cul-de-sac."
