Hello there how is everyone?

Had someproblems this week can't seem to figure them out.

First is the door on my 1994 dutchman pop.  Its a 2 piece door.  The top piece slides on top of the lower portion.  The 2 fixed(door frames) slide into the lower portion of the camper.  Now the hinge side has no problem.  The latch side seems to short.  No matter what I do i can't seem to get the door to go together correctly.  The door just flaps with the fabric.

Then while the camper is level.  At night(in bed) the door seems to no close start to pull away.  I figure its a level thing but I put level on the pup and its fine  I don't seem to understand.  I loosened up the fabric thinking that was it.  Still only happens when somebody is in the beds.

Also speaking of leveling.  Is there any better jacks to use?

Also, (lots of problems this weekend)  On one side the canvas pulled away from the roof, track and all.  Is there a better way to adhere or install the track so it won't happen again?

The roof seems ok, how can you tell if there is water damage.  Besides the obvious where else could water be getting into the roof.  So you silicone the sides on the top of the roof?

Thanks for you help

Ok I'll see if I can help you out here! I have a 1995 1002xs, I'm sure the doors should be simular.

When I'm setting up my door first thing I do is make sure the plastic wing nut (Door lock) is holding the door to the frame before I drop it down from the ceiling. Nothing like getting hit in the head from a flopping door!

Holding both sides of the door frame swing the door down to the bottom door. At the bottom of bothsides of the frame there should be black tabs that fit into the bottom door. Sometimes it can be a buger to get them to slide into the holes but they will fit!

After getting the frame attached to the lower door push the top of the door in and turn the plastic wing nuts to lock the door into place. Attach velcro to the inside of the door and then the outside of the door and everything should be done.

If you do all these steps your door should work properly, if not we're out of wack somewhere.

Let me know if this helps you out any......if not we will think of something else!

If you are using the jacks at the corners of the PU to level it you may be twisting your frame. You should level left to right by raising the low tire by means of your chosing. Next level front to rear with the tounge jack. Use the stabilizer jacks only to do that stabilize.

When I bought my 2002 1205, I had problems with my door also. One problem was that the roof wasn't raising properly. The back wasn't raising completely up so that was throwing things out of whack. I took it back to the dealer and they adjusted the roof, and also once they did that, the top part of the door at the top had been installed wrong, so they had to take it loose and adjust a little on that. It works pretty well now, but even with it perfectly level, the door has somewhat of a crack in it at the top, but all I do is pull it together and use the plastic wingnut and that holds it, and thats usually only at nite when I will do that. I don't have any other probs with the door coming open or anything, so maybe that might be something you can look at too.
