So, yesterday I drove my truck to my camper dealership so they could take a look at the brake controller that was not functioning.

Being a 2002 Coleman Niagra owner, I thought I had the top of the line trailer, until I started nosing around the Fleetwood Avalon.  Wifey and I had talked about trading the Niagra in over the weekend, but I didn't seriously consider it . . . until I saw the Avalon.  So once she inspected it, it was a done deal.  We take delivery this Saturday.

Unfortunately, it has to sit in our driveway for about a month before we can take it out - doggone work schedule - but we are excited - the only drawback at this point that I see is the lack of a large storage trunk, but that is a minor inconvienance.

Oh yeah, they fixed the brake controller for free.

That's mighty expensive free service!  Hope you enjoy the new camper.

You have to be the only one I know that spent somewhere in the neighborhood of $15,000.00 to fix a brake controller. LOL

I sure hope he didn't pay that much...  :yikes:

Austin (paid thousands below asking $ [which was already below list] for a new unit)

LOL - They fixed the brake controller long before I decided to buy it.  When I purchased our Niagra, I spent 18 months coming and going asking tons of questions.  So I am sure they were quite shocked at the seemingly quick decision.

I got a great enough deal to add in air conditioning which was not on our old trailer, I don't know if I will ever use it or not, but it should help the resale value a smidgeon.
