Rotted right front corner repair

I took a shot at repairing this corner about 2 months ago.  Turned out pretty good, but when the trailer was all back together, the corner still stuck out past the edge of the closed roof.  Not cool, and definately not as I planned.

So, with the rotted roof repair behind me, I took the front end apart today.

This time I broke out the tools of infinate destruction and simply cut out all the wood from the front corner.  Then I ripped a pressure treated 2x4 to become the new corner structural member.  I screwed this to the existing horizontal wood.  Then using my new finish air stapler, I stapled the exterior panel back to the 2x4.

Once the 2x4 was shaped to accept the ABS front panel, it all went back together nicely.

That looks good.  How do you remove the exterior panel?  I think that I need to do some repair work to mine as well.

Fortunately the '87 Starcraft Nova has an ABS plastic nose and tail.  So to get my nose panel off, I opened the roof, pushed the front bed in further, unscrewed the top metal rail across the front wall, unscrewed and removed the metal flashing and rubber gaskets on each front telescoping lift, and then removed the metal rail.  A row of screws across the bottom of the plastic nose come off next, and then the nose simply pulls off.  Of course I had to take the propane tank off too, along with it's fancy ABS cover.

Here's what mine looks like assembled....
