So, I've been having problems with my fridge tripping the ground fault outlet when running on 110v.  Have the shore power cord plugged in, but didn't install the battery yet.  I decided to cool it down on propane and worry about the 110v problem some other time.  Not really thinking, flipped the 110v off, the 12v on (for some still unknown reason) and then lit the propane.  Coming home from a long day at work, went outside to check the fridge and thought, "what is that funny smell?"  Then I realized what I'd done.  Turned off the propane nad left the 12v on.

Question is....did I damage anything in the 10hrs it ran on both 12v and propane?

Hmmm...what model fridge do you have that will let you do that (run it on both 12V and propane at the same time)?

Mine has a single switch for propane, 12V, 120V, and off.  I can't have it in more than one position at time.  There is a separate propane valve, and I have to have both that valve on and the switch in the propane position to use propane.

I believe there was a recall on at least one brand of small 3-way fridge because one of the propane valves was faulty.

Dometic RM2193 will let you do it and came from the factory in my 2007 Flagstaff. I haven't tried it, but potentially I can turn on propane, 12v and 120v all at the same time. There might be circuitry to prevent it, but all the switches are there. In fact if you look at the first of the two pics below, you'll even see a warning about not turning on more than one at a time.

I have the same model ad idgregory mentions,  in my coachman clipper.
I also had it on 12 v and propane was lit. This was for a whole weekend. I only realised the 12 v was on because of my dead battery. The converter could not keep all charged. I do not seem to have any damage to the unit. In camping trips afterwards, it has performed just fine. Now it is something I check. There is a safety the prevents you from being able to light the propane if one of the 2 other sources are on. With this I assume I must have hit the 12v switch after lighting the propane.
