Hello,

My name is Mike and we live in Cadillac, MI.  Married with two daughters.  One is 5 years old, the other is 18 months.  The girls love camping.

We have a 1984 Coleman Sun Valley.  We've had it about 10 years now and it has served us well.  Due to my work schedule, most of our camping is April-June and September-October, so the furnace gets a workout.

 We are down near Detroit. Sept - Oct is some of the best camping in MI. You have some great forest campgrounds in your area.

Thanks for the nice welcomes.  Hopefully I can contribute something useful.

We love fall camping for the color and for the fact that the crowds are gone.  Already being in the northern part of Michigan puts us pretty close to some very nice spots to camp.  We'll probably hit Fisherman's Island in September and then either Wilderness or Young State Park in October.  Might be a trip to Hartwick Pines in there somewhere too.

That's an awesome spot! You can't get much better than some of those Lk front sites, trees and a sandy beach with the added bonus of sunsets.

I usually hit northern MI a few times a year.   Typically once in the fall to hit Mackinac Island and another time to ski at Boyne/Nubs.

Hi MIke. I am new here too and your home caught my eye. I lived and went to high school in Cadillac back in the 80's. Nice town and the two lakes are wonderful.
