We have a 2001 Jayco Eagle 12 MK with a kitchen slide. The reason I am posting is because this particular unit has a sink/stove that can be used inside or slid thru the side of the pup through barn doors.  Does anyone else have a sink/stove style like this?  We find that this seems to be a rare option.  We get asked about it quite a bit because we use this option outside and not in.  People see us cooking and washing outside and come and inquire about it.  Is this rare and has anybody else seen this?

I've only seen pictures of them.  But they are really cool.  I don't know why other manufacturers didn't jump on that option.  After all, one of the problems with some pups is lack of space.  Slide the sink outside and suddenly there's a lot more interior space.

I agree.  I would rather the "kitchen" would slide out than have a "dinette" slide.  We don't have a PUP yet, but if I could find one with something like that, it would be the hands-down winner to buy.  When we do buy a PUP, we won't be cooking inside anyway.  I don't cook inside a regular tent, so I sure am not going to cook inside a PUP, cuz it's really a tent, just configured a bit differently.

We saw one like that at the Jayco dealer about 4 years ago. I actually like that option too. But we weren't in the market at the time.

It's a good option as long as it CAN be used on the inside, too. Growing up, we had friends that had a popup (was it a Camel?) that had a kitchen that slid to the outside, but it couldn't be used on the inside, as I recall.

I suspect three things:

1) Difficult to manufacture/high waranty costs.
2) Sink/stove was too low when inside, and too high when outside.
3) They didn't sell well.

Stove is regular height inside and is adjustable outside. This is the first pup we have owned and did not think much of it untill we started being asked. It is actually quite simple to use and now that we have it we really like it.Maybe it did not sell too well.As for the dinette, that slides out as well but on the drivers side so to speak. The stove/sink pass thru on the passenger side.It is on a rail and is spring loaded.
