We did. The starting trail also branches off to hit the hot springs too but I'd been there a number of times before. Sometimes it's quiet and calm and other times, there's lots of nekkid peoples in it!

Great pictures and write up. Sounds and looks like you had a really good time. I noticed in the Santa Barbara write up you talk about running out of water and wanting to purchase a five gallon gas can to store water in.

I tent camp on an island of a lake quite often and haul water out in a five gallon blue container made of a firm plastic that I bought at Wal-Mart. It has a cap that can be used for transporting or switched over to have a spigot. It works great at the end of the picnic table. I just got my PU this spring and did dry camp Memorial Weekend and used  the water storage tank on the camper. That was a pain because I had to pump to get the water. The next time I go dry camping I will bring the five gallon jug and set in on the counter near the sink to use. I can refill the jug as often as I want at the campground/boat launch.

I ended up picking up two six gallon plastic containers that are as you described but mine are more of an aqua color.. They work great.

Great pics, I'm jealous!  By the way, is that white dog a Great Pyrenees?

Looks like great times.
Question: Where did you get your LEDs? How are they doing? Any burn-outs?
Any info would be appreciated..

I bought them from http://superlumination.com/906.htm for $15 a pop (the $36 LED arrays, not the 25 LED SMT array).

So far, I've been really happy with them. We don't mind the blueish tint, which seems to be the biggest downside in most people's opinion. We don't use them to read by (although, I did a test to show that reading by them at the dinette was just fine). Go here: http://www.pcwize.com/galleries/santa_barbara_07.php and head towards the bottom of the page to see the LEDs in action and the reading test.

No burnouts yet. I think the post I read on burnouts was on LED arrays from the other place http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/commerce.cgi?product=OTHER which is also about $5 more expensive for whatever reason.

In terms of brightness, they definitely are not as bright as a standard #921 incandescent bulb, but I'm planning to put two 36 LED arrays in each fixture to see how that compares.

Thanks!
I'm ordering 2 tomorrow to see what they're like.
I appreciate the info.
