Pulling a high wall vs a reg PUP

Is there any real difference in pulling a high wall PUP and a regular pup?  I would love to get a Fleetwood Highlander Series and wondering if there will be much of a change in towing, gas miles etc.  Our Cheyenne is  3070#s and is heavier than a new Cheyenne... And in some cases the new Highlanders are only at the most 700#s heavier....  We've been thinking Hybrid, but with gas prices I think a new PUP  would be better, with all the bells and whistles....

What's your tow vehicle?

I pull a '07 Niagara high wall with my '05 Nissan Frontier with a 4.0l V6 and it tows it with power to spare.  I was actually pretty surprised at how well it towed.

We tow with a Nissan Titan.  We had a Fleetwood Utah before the Niagara.  The gas mileage doesn't seem any different.  The only difficulty is we can no longer see over the popup when towing.

[We just went to the Fleetwood dealer near us and checked out the Avalon and was sold the minute we walked into the camper. Having a full kitchen that stays put! And the couch that you can actually relax on. Our big decision was where to have the dealer install hooks in the ceiling to hang the flat screen TV from???
The Avalon is 16-foot so would imagine the gas consumption is going to be slightly more but no where close to the 36-foot rigs that belong to our camping group.
The only concern I had was "being able to push it"? We have been in a couple camping areas where the trees are a big problem and if the ground is close to being level, we stop the car, unhook and shove it in place. I am going to believe this 16-footer is far from being able to shove it anywhere???
We have a 2002 Coleman Niagara with lots of extras that we are going to want to sell when we upgrade so if you know anyone that might want to buy later in the season - like October or November - let us know.
Thanks

I tow our 2005 Niagra with a 2004 Explorer with the SOHC V-6. It has plenty of power.

Eric, can you still see over the top of the highwall pulling it with your explorer?

I pull with a Nissan Titan, and you can't really see over the top.  It doesn't bother me, I can see fine through the stock side mirrors.  If i can't see over the top in the Titan, I'm sure he can't see over the top in an explorer.

Not seeing over the top is not a big deal.  TT's have the same situation.  Road postion is key.  You can position yourself to see what you need to see.
