When I bought the Nova back in February, it was missing the dinnette table, and the take-out stove.  Been on the lookout for someone parting one on ebay, Craigslist, etc. with no success...until a few weeks ago when I stumbled across a free '83 Starflyer that was all rotted out.

The guy had fitted the table with 4 chrome collapsable legs, and then store both it and the stove in his garage (read; near perfect condition).

With a new ($5) quick couple fitting from StarcraftRV, I was able to get the stove to fit my PU's quick couplings.

I also ordered the old style collapsable legs from Starcraft ($24) with the intent of cutting the huge Starflyer table down to suit my Nova.

Today I measured, marked off, and then cut the table with a jig saw.  Amazingly, it cut machine perfect!  Then I turned the jig saw on it's side and recut the groove out of the table edge that allowed the original "T" shaped rubber edging to go back in place.  It worked great, the edging pounded back in position with a hammer, and with the OE legs attached it looks factory.  Before and after photos have been added below.

And what became of that rotted Starflyer?  A guy in TX needed the cushions and beds. A guy in NJ needed the screen door assembly. The tail lights went back east somewhere, I kept the nice Dometic fridge as a spare, the propane tank was still full, I'm going to use the Starcraft wiring harness-to-seven pin Bargman for my Nova...and then I cut the camper off with a sawzall, towed it to the dump and kicked it and the floor off into the landfill.  Rebuilt a deck out of plywood, including putting back the original galvanized fenders, had cutouts put in the rear bumperettes for inset oval tail lights, bent the spare tire bracket to mount the spare laying down on top of the propane tank bracket and it's now a 400lb utility trailer with a 2,000lb rated axle!

That is a great table!

And it's great to have a utility trailer like that, too - know where I can find a deal like that? I don't ned the table, but the trailer would be pretty handy for my son's lawn mowing business! We were recently trying to figure out a way to trailer some canoes - and could use a basic trailer for lots of things!

Thanks for the kind words on the table.

Re: finding a junk camper to use as the basis for a utility trailer, there's a guy on ebay selling some stuff out of a starcraft that's all rotted out and he's junking it.  Not sure where he is in relation to you, but worth a look anyway.  He's got a carryout stove on right now, and he had a big dinnette table a few days ago.

There's another '83 Starflyer on ebay now too, and it's described as being really bad inside, so it's destroyed (look at the photos of just the roof).

The Starflyer is 6'-6" wide and and you can bring your plywood deck all the way to the curved rear bumperettes and that gives you a 10'-6" deck length.  Takes about 2-1/2 sheets of 5/8" CDX plywood and self drilling and countersinking screws to cover it.  Or, if the floor is good, reuse it (the floor in mine was destroyed).
