Hey everybody, I went to the stealership the other day to get something for my pup, and while I was there I looked around a bit at their used inventory. I came across a 2002 Coleman Caravan in pretty nice shaped it seemed like, c23 I believe. Someone had put down hardwood flooring and overall it seemed to be a pretty clean camper. Does anyone know much info on these, I did a google search and couldn't find much about them other than a few pics. I'm seriously thinking of trading up but would like some more info if anybody has it. Oh and it was priced at 12,999 which I know I can get it cheaper than that, Same dealership I bought my pup from and are Super Easy to deal with. I guess I'd just like everybody's thoughts or info they have. Thanks.

Price seems a bit high:

The big thing is if YOU are happy with the floor plan.

I would suggest that you have them demonstrate every single item in the trailer. All of the 12v items while plugged into shore power and on battery only.

Look underneath to check for floor damage. Chances are the hardwood floor is an upgrade. However, you should look to make sure that it wasn't put down to cover up floor damage.

I would also suggest that you ask them to throw in a wheel bearing service in the deal.

Boy, can I answer that for you! Run, don't walk, as far away from that POS as you can. Trust me (look at my sig).

The Caravan was an awesome idea, and certainly looked nice, but they had several fatal design flaws that turned them into leakers. Bad leakers. The hardwood floor on that one is either covering the stained linoleum, or was put their after they ripped up the old floor and put in a new one. Either way, it's a bad sign.

I love my trailer, which makes it all the more sad, but given a chance for a do-over I would DEFINITELY not buy it again. I'm going to lose thousands of dollars when I junk it because of the sagging walls, rotted floor, etc.

What do you want to know?  We have one in my family and we love it.... it has has a few issues with leaks.. the tv antenna leaked and the front by the bed leaked all was covered by warrenty and has been perfectly fine since repairs.Overall we have been very satisfied... here is ours!

A few days ago there was one of these listed - and I see what some of you are talking about when it comes to these having leak problems. WOW, this particular one has definitely had water damage, although there is no mention of that by the seller and the seller just refers to the big black area on the linoleum as a "stain". OMG!!!
I don't have a link for it but you can go to ebay and type in coleman caravan and probably find it...

Coleman/Fleetwood only made the Caravan for a few years.  Even Fleetwood walked away from them.
