I am having my exterior shower put on the trailer on Friday at a dealer in Georgetown DE, so I am taking that day off.  So Raymond wants to go fishing at the Lewes/Cape Henlopen Pier.

I contacted all the campgrounds that accept transients in the Lewes area, and the only one that had any openings was a full sun campground...Raymond ordered trees...so that is why I went to Holly Lakes, it has about 1000 sites, not my idea of a campground, but hey it is within about 10 miles of the pier...

They still have sites if anyone wants to try to find us in the 1000 +/- sites, come join us.

If anyone camps here, DO NOT make the mistake I did and camp with sewers.  The natives back there were friendly but the site was NOT ready to camp in.  I borrowed a rake from one of the seasonals and raked up 7 trash bags of leaves JUST TO GET TO THE FIRE RING.  The next door neighbor's park model was sitting half way in the site I was in, so it was a little cramped.

Even in the seasonal section there are a lot of trees.  I like trees. Especially if they are not pine.

The front of the campground is water and electric and even though the sites were a little open, there was plenty of shade AND there is a sort of petting zoo in the very front and a duck and goose pond in the back with a few peacocks.  The front sites (1 -150) are near the petting zoo though there was no odor problem, there was a vocal deer and a number of roosters, so if farm animals bother you, you need to ask for a site in this section away from the animals.  The bathrooms in that section were a world and a half better than the ones where we were on site 272.
All bath houses have a washer and dryer, and a stationary tub (dishes) in at least the women's restroom.
They are very very strict with kids being out after 11:00 PM, so it is realtively quiet after 11:00.

This is between Millsboro Delaware (US 113) and Rehobeth DE (DE rt 1) on DE 24. Easy to miss as you come around the corner.  Near the Cape May Lewes Ferry, Rehobeth Outlets (bonus DE has tax free shopping).

Campground has a little resturaunt/coffee shop and a nominal store.
