I've bought quite a bit from these guys over the years. We bought our -40 degree sleeping/mummy bags from here years ago. They sell pretty much everything from no names to high end (re: more expensive) name brands. Of all the stuff I bought from them, the only problem I ever had was a Brunton compass that had a small bubble. They replaced it with a new one very quickly though.

Haven't used any from the list above, but did just place a decent size order with Campmor.  Their prices were the best I found online, and typically by a wide margin.

For example, a collapsable water bucket: REI=$16.95  Campmor=$9.95   Kelty Noah Shelter Tarp was almost $10+ less than REI and the poles for it were $6ea less.

Wound up being a big savings when it was all totalled up. They charged $6.95 for shipping to CA.

Also, I just bought a pair of hiking boots on ebay that had come from Campmor.  Inside the box was a full 2 pages of instructions, from Campmor, on how to fit the boots, lace them, care for them, break them in, and waterproof them.  Bought the same boots locally, paid full pop, and didn't get told anything other than "Enjoy."  So, Campmor seems to do a pretty good job!

If it doesn't have to be brand new, I have found some pretty good deals  on ebay.

While I haven't tried them yet, there was an ad on this site before for rvtoyoutlet.com and they seemed to have some decent prices.

Sorry, you asked for places online.

We have gotten some decent deals through their catalog sales.

//www.llbean.com

LLBean is one of your biggest camping and outdoor stores but they can be pricey.  However, they do back up their merchandise.  They do run some great sales from time to time.  If they have an outlet store near you, it can be worth the drive.  Hitting the right sales is the best way.  Example:  $249 leather jacket for $49.  I bought one a couple of years ago.

Cabelas store is hopefullly going to be opening in NH within the next year.  We have been to five of them and if you haven't been, the animal exhibits are worth the trip alone.  Cabelas has "The Cave" where they discount a lot of merchandise.

Cabela's and LLBean both carry similar merchandise so it might pay to comparison shop the two.

Ive placed several orders from Campmor and have always been pleased. They are great to deal with on return and exchanges too.  I bought a down sleeping bag from them and after I got it relized it wasnt big enough. Within a week they excanged it for the next size so I could make a  cold weather backpackiing trip.

Ive got a few things from Sierra Trading Post, never a problem.  Also many orders from Bass Pro.

I needed a bike rack with only a few days to go before leaving for vacation.  I tried at least 12 locations online and all wanted almost as much to ship as the bike rack was worth.

I finally bought mine at Campmor.  It was just over $16.00 to ship and it got to me,  I kid you not, the next day.  Obviously I am very pleased and will buy there again.
