Located in Fort Mill, S.C., just south of Charlotte, N.C., and north of Columbia, S.C. The camper spent two nights, we spent one (got there at 10 p.m., in the rain. Dropped the camper off and grabbed a hotel room). Campground aimed at particularly group -- families going to Carowinds theme park. Cost is around what you would pay at a KOA. Has plenty of things to keep kids busy -- pool, mini golf, game room. Pop ups kept separate from TT and big rigs. Sites are largely shaded and gravel. Mostly level, but they are terraced into a hill, so front to back levelling can be a challenge (we got it "close enough for government work"). Bathhouse kept pretty clean, but only two or three showers. Free shuttle to and from theme park nice, but expect to walk four or five minutes from drop off point to main gate. Biggest issue was noise -- theme park opens at 10 a.m. and they start testing roller coasters at around 8 a.m. Coasters can continue until park closes -- 10 p.m. in some cases. Would I go again? Only if I was going to Carowinds or needed a quick overnight stop on the road.

Thanks for the info.  We have thought about staying there and haven't heard anything about the park.  Thanks for the heads up about the noise.
