Has any one found a good roof vent for a PUP. All the ones I have found are for 2-4" thick roofs. I could cut the trim ring down to work but I imagine there has to be some out there. My roof is about an inch thick. I would prefer metal I think just so I wouldn't have to worry about hail destroying it but it seems like my options might be pretty limited.

Just curious what the roof vent will do for you that unzipping a window won't do. I would only cut holes in my roof if that was my only option.

I have been extremely pleased with the fantastic fan vent basic create-a-breeze.  It allows air to be moved without opening a large window when cooking in cold weather, preventing condensation.  It allows fresh air to be moved in when there is no breeze present and you don't want to run the AC yet.

http://www.fantasticvent.com/products/products.html gives the current product information and where to buy.  The make specific products for pop-ups for the original manufacturers.  A dealer should be able to order one for you.

I just put a Fan-tastic vent in this past week. I took out the old a/c unit that was in there since we never used it. We never stayed at sites with elec hookup. So far, in the driveway, it works great. I got the model 4000. It has 3 speeds and has a reverse to use as an exhaust. They have a "low profile" for the thicker roofs and a "high profile" for thinner roofs like on popups. Unfortunatly I got the low proflie when I ordered it so it sticks into the camper an extra 5/8" , which really isn't bad, but when I called them about a question about the screws, they were very helpful with advise. They also sent me a trim piece for free for the inside to take up that 5/8 gap so it looks good.
I have pics of it on my webshots in the mods. The big test will be in 2 weeks on our next trip.
It was easy to put in. Good luck!
