We are headed to Frontiertown on Monday for a week-long vacation. Anyone have any positive or negative remarks about this place?

I will post my thoughts when we return....

The sites are a little small, but the kids loved the waterpark :-() . It can be a hike to the waterpark, depending on where your site is.

We stayed at fort whaley and had a great time.  You still have access to the waterpark even though it is about a 15 minute drive away.

We just came back from there over the Labor Day Holiday.  I thought it was a very nice park.  The bathrooms were constantly being cleaned which was nice.  There were no rowdy campers there.  When quiet time came around, it was quiet.  Our sites were DD8 and DD9.  I thought they were big enought for 5 people and 2 dogs in our group.  DH and DD walked to the water park and didn't have any issues with it being too far away.

We really enjoyed our stay. We were in PA5, which is the first campsites as you come into the park. Bathrooms were clean, although a few of the stalls got backed up from time to time. Showers were clean, but I learned very quickly which ones to use. There are some that you have to keep the button pushed in for the water to keep flowing. Not an easy thing to do when washing your hair!! Our site was fairly large, and being on PA we did not have neighbors on all sides. The camp store was stocked nicely, although it was way over-priced. However, if you needed something in a pinch it was very convenient. The playgrounds were great, and our 7 year old son went by himself to the playground closest to our site. We had a set of very good walkie talkies and kept in contact with him every few minutes, just to be on the safe side, and did not have any trouble. He did get lost once, but we told him to stay put and asked him what the street sign said and we went right to him. Thank goodness for those walkie talkies!! The water park was great. I wish our weather had been better, but we still enjoyed it even though it was overcast. I highly recommend the lazy river!! The kids (and adults, too) loved the water slides and the lines were not too long. Putt-Putt was alot of fun as well. One thing that I was very impressed with is the fact that maintenance was at a vacated site to clean within 30 minutes of the previous "residents" departure. They would pick up any trash they found (and it was never much, if any) and make a general over-view. The only thing that bothered me on this trip were the utterly obnoxios teenagers milling around the store and bathrooms. Even though there was a curfew, there were packs of them wandering/hanging around well past that and on past midnight. I had to keep reminding myself of how it was to be that age. This is a very family friendly place to stay, and very well kept. Now that we have been there and scoped out all of the sites, I would recommend PA Lane to anyone. There are certain sites that are better than others, but PA1, 3, 5 & 7 were shaded & level. There are a few others around the bathroom closest to us, but we are planning on making our reservations for next summer on one of the better PA sites.

I forgot to mention the free shuttle bus to the beach. One word of caution....catch it around 10am. The driver said that the bus just before ours was packed to the gills, and every bus after 11am was packed. However, we were dropped off only 2 blocks from the beach, and it comes around so often that it wasn't a hassle. Never once did I wish we would have driven instead of taking the bus. It can get crowded, and not everyone gets a seat all of the time, but it was a very nice perk for us.
