winterizing an outside shower

We stepped up last year to a Fleetwood Utah with an outside shower. I have alwayts done the winterizing on our Sea Pine, and never had a problem, and was talked through the process by the guy at walk through. It seemed straight forward, and I followed through. This spring, on first charging the system, the shower head broke off at the connection, and the hot water tap blew right off. This was an easy fix, but I would rather not repeat the process again. I live in upstate New York, and the trailer has to be outside all winter. Any insight as to where I may have gone wrong with this? Thanks for any ideas that come my way.  Jim

Did you bypass the water heater and pump RV Antifreeze through all of the water lines?  I also remove the shower hoses/heads from the camper for the winter.  The cold weather can cause problems with the plastic.:)
