What are you towing your hybrids with? Thanks. Thinking of getting one but it might mean a new tv too. Presently tow with a 4 liter 6 cylinder ranger, automatic.

Most Rangers are probably not equipped to tow a sizeable hybrid, but maybe some of the smaller ones.

We tow with a full size 1/2 ton Silverado. Our trailer is pretty heavy, and is a good load, even behind this big truck with a V8.

fiveaday1975,

I have only had my Hybrid now since Saturday. I have to tell you I was a little concerned about towing it with my Toyota Tocoma. I was  really surprised.... It pulled it like I had the popup attached to it. Very Very nice. The Tocoma is fully equiped with coolers and complete towing package. Of course I had a WD add to the truck when we bought the trailer.  Now I have only driven about 20 miles but it was a good 20 miles. Hope this helps..

i tow w/06 jeep commander .the Rockwood 2302 that we had the dry weight is just a little lighter that the 04 travel star 19ck hybrid we have now .but with tandem axles the travelstar has much more stability

We tow with a V8 Explorer.  I can definitely feel the mass behind the truck (and the decreased fuel economy!), but it tows smoother than my popup due to the Equal-i-zer hitch and Prodigy brake controller :)

we tow with a yukon v/8 , we have the stabilizer and weight distributor hitch, tows great, long up hill grades drinks the gas.

I tow with a 6 cylinder Dodge

Just happens to be a 6 cylinder Cummins Turbo Diesel so it tows well.

Towed the 23B hybrid we had with an 02 Silverado 1500 3:73 gear and 4.8 liter engine.  Did a good job but I would go with the 5.3 engine next time for this size hybrid.

The flats are not going to really bother you but once you are into the hills or mountains, you would appreciate the larger engine.

Seems that most people get around 10 mpg while towing.  Doesn't seem to matter exactly what the tv is.  Remember, I said "around 10" so don't quote me. :)

(I just remember the 3.73 part, but not what it means)  :D
