I have noticed some campers have wooden signs or plaques that have their names and or town on them.
 1. Does anyone know where to purchase one?
 2. What info do most people put on it?
I saw one that listed each family member. Others just have the family name, town and state. I'm thinking of purchasing one as a gift for my sister-in-law and would love any input you might have.
Thanks

We got one at our local fair from a vendor that made them while you waited. I have a heard of places online you can order them-maybe do a search on the internet. We put my husbands log-in name and a picture of a viking helmet and each of our family members.

I had one for my Utah and my sis-in law made one for my new coach.

I made our own sign by woodburning a pre-cut wooden plaque, then stained and treated with outdoor polyurethane. It just has our name, hometown and state, along with a scene of a popup against a background of trees.

It is hung from one of the metal garden flag holders that can be purchased at Lowe's, Menards, or Home Depot.  To balance the weight of the sign, a hanging seasonal flowerpot hangs on the other side of the sign.

The metal garden flag holder wipes clean after pulling it up and stores neatly under the matress in the slide-out for transport.

personally have purchased from this online source twice:

http://thesignpost.com/

They are inexpensive and FAST shipping (I had mine in 3 days).  They come without holes; you just decide where you want the holes (for mounting on PUP or use by hanging with chains), then drill holes with your drill.

Funny you should have this thread. I just got my welcome sign in the mail yesterday. We saw these people at a local craft festival. They have hundreds of different designs and all RVs.

We have a sign that we seldom hang out any more.

The problem is, both our girls have married, and so it is never quite right.

What I'm looking for now is a sign that would have just PJay and me on it, but room to hook more names below.  That way, if we have a grandchild with us, we could hook that one's name on.  If we have DD and her husband with us, we can hook the small sign with their names on.  And coming up, we're even going to have PJay's folks with us.  It would be nice to include them on the sign.

Our camper used to be strictly the five of us.  Now, it varies a lot, so a propaer sign needs to as well.

But it will always have Me & PJay.  ;)

So the main sign would ahve a graphic, and when we go camping in Missouri in a couple weeks, the sign would have on it:

:) Austin & PJay
 :) Lee & Jean
 :) Ben
 :) Faith & Mike
 :) Eiley

But the next time out, it might just say:
:) Austin & PJay

We purchased our original sign at a Camping and RV Show.  You can always find a vendor or 2 there and fairs are a second great place to look.  Just a thought ... check with your local RV dealer, they may have knowledge of signers in the area.

Of course the internet and shipping is always out there too.

I like to support local artisans when I can find them.

As Austin pointed out, with the family in flux and change, it is time for a new sign.  Oh LOOK, we are going to the state fair on Saturday!!!!
