We stayed here because it was the only place in La Grande and in retrospect we would have been better off at Hot Lake RV.  Why?  It was your typical rv park - oriented towards big rigs and long term folks and located right next (and I mean RIGHT NEXT) to the railroad with the elevated freeway running just beyond.  It was like sleeping in a rest area.  Their sign said no refunds and I wasn't in the mood to fight so we just dealt with it.  Drove by Hot Lakes RV Park later (10 miles away) and it was well off the freeway and away from the trains.  There is another new campground and several state parks nearby as well.  Any of them would probably be a nicer choice for non hard wall campers.

Lesson learned - but La Grande is a great little town.  Check out Hought's Ice Cream and the Smokehouse Cafe.  And best yet - there is a real honest DRIVE IN THEATER here!
