I thought i had gotten the parts i needed to fix my pup last week.
I ordered the bed slides from Camper and Recreation. they came quickly and will probably work for me, but....................
I still need more parts.
Does anyone know where I can find the rails that actually wrap around the plywood paneling of the beds?
It is bent and i cant get it close enough to slide into the tracks.
Anybody? any suggestions?

Have you called the trailer's manufacturer?

hamilton

Yes, it is an older 1980's Sunlite , and they no longer manufacture pop-ups.
So, i have checked it against Palominos of the same era and they dont carry these parts either...............

Then I would suggest removing the bent rails completely and getting creative in how you carefully finesse them back into shape.

They are probaby extruded aluminum, so should bend back pretty redily and if you're careful, you won't break them.  But, they can be TIG welded if need be......so hit 'em like you own 'em.  Hammer to fit, paint to match!

Hamilton,

As you obviously know, the Sun-lites and Palominos are distant cousins, if not twins.

Harmony Enterprises made a lot of the metalwork for Palomino, and actually have much of the design specifications, paperwork, etc.  that Palomino lost in their factory fire.

These folks are into large-scale recycling machinery, but still sell Palomino parts directly.  They are great folks and give 110% customer service.  Their website is http://www.harmony1.com/index.cfm

Another source is http://www.colawrvsalvage.com/ I have not worked with them, but from what I have heard they have an impressive salvaged parts supply.

Good Luck,

Todd
