Very, very nice indeed........It's so nice to have a handy guy around.....

Geez Ray! Nice job but slow down. You're making us other E3 owners look bad. :sombraro:

Truthfully...Holy Cow! I'm impressed and it's nice to see all the ideas.

I do feel lazy now though. I have had my E3 since June and I haven't done a single mod....Oh Wait....I did buy a 2nd battery!....Does that count as a mod? :D

Hey Neighbor... Have to get together sometime...

Yeah ... first thing I did was to get rid of the cheap interstate battery that only lasted 3 hours and put two grp 31 deep cycle. (advantage for working for a MFG) Works way better with 4 to 5 times the capaticty.

I'm fortunate enought that I can use the trailer with work at times. So in the evening while out sometimes I'll get the tools out and do something.

Boy this year went fast though. It's time to get it ready for winter and start winter work. Got a whole raft of meetings between now and christmas, so I guess I better get it done

Do you have any plans to put a solar panel on your pu.  I am looking into info to see how to put up solar for just small electronic stuff you want to run with out using the generator.  any suggestions?

At times I use a 6.5kw gen set but I have been thinking about using two of these:

with this controler:

The price is right and being that most of the time i'm in the desert it shoud keep me charged up. The only draw back is, It would not run the AC....

Ray, Thanks for the pictures.   I noticed you installed an Aluminum tool box on your E3 deck as many of us have done.  Please note there is an issue with the sun reflecting off the tool box and hitting the side of the roof. Under extreme hot temperatures it has caused the insulating Styrofoam to deform the roof edge surface.  Fleetwood is aware of the problem and should have sent a note out to the dealers.

Take care.

Hi There.....

Thanks for the info on the box. I have not seen a issue here yet, but most of the time when its not up it is covered with a 18' aqua shead cover. Next time i'm at the dealer, I'll ask about it.

I noticed your using a H2 for a TV. Aint it great :<)..... My company is retiring mine, so next week I lose the H2. I guess i'll have to go back to the DW's H3. The next veh that i'm getting is a 08 Yukon 2wd, but it doesn't have a hitch or tow package. Maybe that is the reason the Dealer could not sell it and I ended up with it. Oh well, it's only for 120 days. I just hope the first part of the winter is mild....

Ray,  I don't think you would see the problem up in your neck of the woods.  If you were in the southern US with the 100 plus degree days it could be a problem... and of course if you cover the PUP including the tool box then you are OK.  Fleetwood has been recommending that we either paint the top of the tool box black or move it away from the roof.

Yes the H2 is great for pulling the Evolution series.... except when you pull into the gas station  :yikes:

I did smile when I saw your color coordinated E3 and H2.  I started out wanting a Yellow E2 and Yellow Hummer.  Well my Fleetwood dealer vetoed the Yellow E2 saying it was too loud.  My wife joined the anti-yellow campaign and vetoed the Yellow Hummer.  So all I got were two Yellow Hummer mountain bikes.  Then the wife wanted the E3 with the slide out so both she and my Fleetwood dealer had to let me get the Yellow E3  :-() Now my wife is thinking of getting a yellow FJ Cruiser... go figure!

Take care.

Well..... Hummer Yellow is there most popular color. My wife is a School Bus driver, so she cant get enough of the color. I will tell ya that it hard to lose it in the parking lot. As far as the trailer color goes.... It's kinda of nice at times to be the only trailer of color in the camp ground. Most everyone else is just in a see of white...

He Ruide

Ray, I know you will miss the H2 :(

Regarding PUP colors, I have to agree with you that a yellow Evolution does stand out at a CG.  I've always wondered why PUP manufacturers didn't offer more options in color.  The reality is you have the gray and yellow Evolution series and Jayco Baja has a camo version.  Other than that I think you are stuck with white with some color accent.

H again

One E3'r to another.....

What would you think about moving the hitch forward 18" and then moving your tool box ahead of the deck?

That would give us easy acces to lockable storage and the tanks & battery would still be on the tongue but just 18" further forward.

I'm going to graph it out and do the math and see what the impact would be, But does it not sound cool...:compumad:
