Does anyone know anything about this PUP?  Wow!!  I want!

Old Pup

Trailman

That is a Ranger Pop-up tent trailer, 1953 or 1954.
They were manufactured in Anaheim, California.

I am always amazed at the collective knowledge of this board.:)

Maybe we should come up with our own version of Trivial Pusuit - Pup-Up version - to play whenever a group of us meet up at the campgrouns!? :D

I lost a few marks on this one though  :D
Apparently they were made in 1955 too.
There is a 1955 model year in the RV museum in Elkhart, Indiana
And some additional info....it states on the museum website that there were less than 200 made.

I thought that Henry Ford came up with a trailer with canvas sides that had bunks in it.

Oh right.  I forgot about the photo album of that one that someone here posted a few weeks ago.

Wow...only 200 made!  I love the way that rear bunk slides out like a dresser drawer.

I want one and a Hudson to tow it with!

That is a great website.
Here is another good one. FunkyJunkFarms, they have 3 photo's of a 54 Ranger on there.

Fantastic!

I love pre-'55 Americana.  That heavy, aerodynamic thing is just fantastic.

My first home out of high school was a 31' 1952 Royal Spartanette (gee....I really am trailer trash!) so I'm a sucker for the old trailers.  I actually polished mine back to shiny, took 2 weeks with a power buffer, and then painted all the exterior trim gloss black.
