All,
Ok!, I have been reading the holding tank cap. On a two night stay over I could fill these tanks easy. Now what do you do on a week stay over and the tanks are full????

Buy a portable 15 or 20-gallon wheeled tank.  Fill it from your RV, hook the handle to your TV trailer hitch ball, tow to dump station...

That said, you can also learn to be more sparing on the amount of water used for different things.  We can have 4 adults camp in our camper for 3 days and still fit our usage in the 23B's black water tank (and this is where we all use it 100%).

We rarely fill our grey tank more than about half-way (usually just my wife, baby and myself), and this is including maybe 1 shower.

Our black and gray tanks are 38 gallons each.  We can go a week with 3 people on that capacity.  Use the campground bathroom during the day and take a navy shower one day and an army shower the next.  Saves a lot of water.  We use a bucket of gray water to put out the campfire each night.  Another trick, if your on your last day and fill your gray tank, draw off a couple of buckets and dump them down your toilet.  You rarely will generate as much black water as gray.  We have a 25 gallon blue tank and almost never use it.

on long stays we carry our blue 22 gal with us, use paper products more so less washing, also one pot meals, grill more, use foil pouches for ez clean up. we do navy showers when showers aren't near by or clean... we also will use grey water to put out fire.

All,

I guess I better keep my blue container for hauling . I have a 22 gal with the hitch for the ball. I will tell you that I have used the trailer for seven days and filled the gray tank. Seems like you have to run a lot of water before the hot water shows up at the tap.

Run the hot water into a bucket until you have hot water, then don't turn on your pump when using the toilet.  Rather, use the water in the bucket for flushing.  It makes use of that water rather than wasting it down the drain.  Do not allow any un-used water to go down the drain for best conservation of resources.

you can also use that water for soaking your dishes, or if you  have a fire going put it in a old pot or metal bucket and leave it on the side of your fire and you have hot water!

in the cooler months we kept a old coffee pot  filled with water on the side of fire grate to make instant coco, tea soups,

The black tank on the 23B should be no problem for a week if it is just the two of you.  Using the cg bathrooms would help in not filling the black tank very quickly.

DW and I could get by for a week with no problem.

Grey water will fill up a lot faster.  I believe the 23B is about 30 gallons.

I just drain some greywater off into a blue tote and empty it at the dump station on my way out of the cg.

Also keep in mind, those tank indicators are notoriously wrong.  Fresh and grey are not too bad the but black is never correct.  Empty the black tank and it reads empty, use it once and it is 1/3 full.

If the grey backs up, it is only going to back up into the tub.  No big deal.  Black could be a bit more messy on the floor of the bathroom.

I had a problem with the black water tank indicator not working correctly on my 22' QB SL too. I checked all the connections on the tank and found two of them that were loose. I cleaned and tightened them and have had no further trouble and they seem to be fairly accurate... Did the same on the grey tank. These terminals are exposed and can get corroded and dirty with road grit especially when towing in wet weather..Fresh water tank is inside camper so it has been no problem.

DW and I can also get along for a week or more without filling the 30 gal. grey and black tanks.  I also carry a 10 gal. tote with wheels on our long trips for emptying if needed.  It has been very dry down here all year and some campgrounds are now allowing the dumping of grey water around trees and bushes that are in woodsy areas but not in campsites....

Dw does dishes at home, but does not like to do it camping. We use disposable plates that can be burned.I do the cooking when camping and that is all done on a griddle or grill(easy wipe off)We use the restroom facilities for #2 and the showers at the cg's.This summer we camped for 8 days and dumped the black on the way out,but it was close to full (real close). The gray was only about 1/3 full.
