Hi!

I'm from Belchertown, MA and every year I am in charge of putting together a family reunion camping trip for my side of the family (how I inherited this I have no clue! :yikes: )... Anywho, I'm looking for suggestions on campgrounds within 1.5-2 hrs from me, can accomodate oh 50 people or so (thats what we had this year) which equals 10 sites and 2 cabins... 2 of us have pop ups, 1 has a fifth wheel, and the rest tent or rent a cabin....
Necessities: pool, lake/ocean (lots of fisherman in the family!), lots of activities, cabin/trailer rentals, reasonable prices, nice playground (lots of kidlets!), pet friendly....
In the past we have stayed at Pine Acres in Oakham, MA but the prices have gotten ridiculously high...though we did like that they let us reserve all of the R-sites in the past so that we had a street to ourselves....

on this years survey many wanted to try the ocean if possible...so here I am looking for suggestions... thought this year I'd get a good headstart on planning next years reunion...which will be end of June...

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated :-()

Thanks in Advance

Bailey's in Southern Maine is great fun for families with varying ages.  Close to beaches (the campground offers shuttle services to Old Orchard Beach).  Pools, arcade, and live entertainment.  Not sure about group accomodations.  They also offer rentals.  Here's their link:

Another great spot closer to you is in, belive it or not, Foxboro, MA (home to the soon-to-be Super Bowl XLII Champion Patriots).  It's called Normandy Farms.  Beautiful Resort type with lots of space, recreation for all ages, a huge lodge for family reservations and gatherings, and great on-site store. Great local fresh-water fishing (Lake Pearl & Lake Archer in Wrentham) and only ~45 minutes from the Cape Cod Canal for saltwater fishing.  Here's their link:

hope that helps!
