I bought a 1985 venture on the word of the seller that the lights worked but that he lost the wireing harness. On closer inspection, it appears that he at one point in time tried to use a standard trailer 4 wire harness by bypassing the 4 - 6amp fuses located directly behind the trailer hitch. I tried to do the same and nothing lights up. Any help or suggestions?????

Sounds like a test light, multimeter and a bit of wire tracing are in your future.

Not a big deal at all Jerry.

On Starcraft, you'll find that:

White=ground
Black=charge line to  your PUP's battery from your TV
Green=clearance lights, tail lights, license plate light
Blue=electric brakes
Brown=right turn
Red=left turn
Yellow=backup lights on PUP if equiped

If you're going to use only a 4 pin connection, then you'll only be wiring up for left and right turn/brake, and for tail lights/clearance lights.

So PUP white goes to TV white
    PUP Green goes to TV brown
    PUP Brown goes to TV green
    PUP Red goes to TV Yellow
