I think that most of the later model Coleman PUs have a separate 20A circuit breaker in the converter. You might want to check to see if yours has one.

You may also have 1 - 20A outlet already installed. Mine is on the wall, under the dinette table.

My electrical cord runs from the AC unit, through the roof brace to the edge of the ceiling where it just gets wrapped up with a Velcro tab that is secured to the ceiling. If I want to use the AC, I have to unwrap the AC cord and plug it into the 20A outlet. The cord just hides behind the window curtain.

If the Viking is "ac ready" then you'll have a 20 amp outlet usually in the sidewall of a dinette seat that you plug the AC into. As for what to plug in dealers use anything rated for 20 amps. Some use a heavy duty orange extension cord, some spend a few cents more and get a white one that doesn't show up so much. Some just use clips into the ceiling and others use the surface mount track out to the edge of the ceiling and then just the cord dropped down.

If the trailer isn't "ac ready" you'll to either directly wire the AC to the 20 amp circuit breaker in the converter or install a 20 amp outlet and wiring to the circuit breaker for the drop to plug into.

As the others have posted.  The AC units basically have a long extension cord, secured along the ceiling in some manner, then along the wall to the 20 amp outlet (there is a T slot on the one opening in the outlet) that your camper probably has. :)
