I did post a review of my trip in the "General" section but I thought I'd post a review here as well.

The cost was $22 for a site with elec/water. I did see a few sites that had sewer. There are trees but they are not real big and don't provide a whole lot of shade unless you are right under them. Plenty of room between sites. There is a camp host and a park ranger makes regular trips through the cg on his Gator. The restrooms and showers were spotless. There is also a family shower/bathroom. There is after hours access to the park if you make arrangements with the front gate. The scenery was beautiful and you can tour the caverns. It's best to make reservations for the tour in advance but pulling into the park there is a sign that says if there are campsites and tours available. In the visitor center there are exhibits, a film (free) and a gift shop.

It did get pretty windy the night that we stayed but it was an erractic wind. It would blow for awhile and then stop only to pick up again later. A couple a few spots down got up at 1 AM and took their awning down otherwise he said he wouldn't have slept worrying about it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it. We do plan on going back again.

Hey Thanks Gary. We are headed to the Tucson area for camping tomorrow through Sunday. Hoping for a little CG called Bog Springs, but if that is full, may try Kartchner or Picaccho (?) peak which we've stayed at before. We'd rather get a little higher for slightly cooler temps, but should be ok either way.

thx for the note on Kartchner's!

Thank you Gary,

We are heading there this upcoming weekend. We will be leaving Friday around 1:30pm and hope to be there around 4:30pm, it all depends on traffic.

I did make reservations for one of the tours on Saturday but not for the big room at least not yet. How long does the main tour take?

We are looking forward to it. Hope the weather will hold out for us. Thank you again for all your help.

Hope you had a great trip to Lost Dutchman SP.

Take care.

Dean,

We'll be at Kartchner Caverns this weekend. We plan on doing a wine run while we are so close to the area.  Hope you have a great time up at Links Lake. The weather is still warm so it shouldn't get too cold for you all. We will have to join you the next time you go up.

Take care. We will talk to you soon.
