Need some help for diagnosing a frige problem.  Have a 2004 Fleetwood Bayside with a Dometic 3 way Fridge (Propane, 120v, 12v).

When on our last trip this year I could not get the fridge to work on any of the modes.  I did check when plugged in and the electric outlet was gettin power (checked with circut tester).

Anybody have any idea what the problem might be???  Any help would be appreciated....

Thanks!!!!

Hello, Let me tell you what happened to us when we first got our PUP.
The fridge wouldn't get cold no matter what (same as you) so I looked in the owner's manual (the fridge manual, ours is a Norcold not a Dometic but they should be very similar) and it stated that if the fridge is not getting cold, to follow these procedures:
Shut off LP at the tank
Remove the gasline from the fridge
Remove the fridge from the cabinet ( this took me maybe 20 min.)
Stand the fridge on it's left side(if you're looking at the door) for about an hour
Then stand it rightside up for another hour and reinstall

When I followed these instructions, the fridge started to work wonderfully. To this day I can still freeze eggs on a 90 degree day(not that I like frozen eggs but I can do it!). Of course check your manual before you do this, Dometic may have different components and require different procedures. Good luck.

Here's a place to start: http://bryantrv.com/docs.html
You can download manuals on the fridge.

The old flipping the fridge worked on older fridges that were partially clogged by crystalization but is a waste about 90% of the time.

As a note if you have an ammonia smell or see anything that looks like yellow pollen in the back of the fridge then you have a real problem. The cooling system has a leak and replacement is the only cure for our smaller fridges.
