I bought this 1995 Coleman/Fleetwood Rio Grande back in the spring. I've been working on it off and on throughout the summer and fall. I originally was going to just change out the linoleum floor and install a few creature comforts... Things kinda got out of hand after reading about everyone's modifications etc. This is the first camper I've ever owned... Since I go to the races at Texas Motor Speedway...I thought this might be better than sleeping in a truck.....

Here's a slide show on Flickr of all the things I've done to it. The first 3 pics are when I was going to buy it.. all others are the finished product. I did all the work myself including paint, plumbing, electrical etc.

Check it out... you can click on the "i" for info to each pic after its starts up... http://www.flickr.com/photos/ck021760/sets/72157603027316893/show/

Sorry, posted it before I was ready to.

I wanted to add that you did a tremendous job. You should be very proud and I know that you will get a lot of enjoyment out of it.

Thanks for all the compliments....

As for the FW graphics, I had a friend that does vinyl decals on the side as a hobby..I just picked out the closest font that resembled the Fleetwood logo.. I added that just because it kind of looked plain near the rear. I got the side graphics from http://www.stewartdesign.biz/  After installing them, I added some leftover 3M dual pinstripe I had laying around to outline it and gave it a little more pizazz....

As for the paint, I used PPG Omin Acrylic Enamel with hardener(Polar White was the color) and used a HLVP gun and turbine to spray it. Luckily, I caught a calm day to spray since I did all the work on the driveway. I just made sure the neighbors cars weren't downwind!!! I also sprayed the trailer frame with same paint in black. The top was done with 3 coats of Kool Seal after a massive cleaning. The previous owner had slopped some stuff on there and had brush marks all over the place and had it all over the center trim and the lower trim as well as the end caps. All the trim on the top was removed and shot with the PPG Omni. The ABS trunk and cover was also sprayed with the same paint except that I used Bulldog Adhesion promoter as the base on all the plastic.

And yes..the icemaker is great...I'd highly recommend one. The plastic basket was full of ice within a couple of hrs or so.... Hmmmm... kegerator????? Maybe a future mod!!!! LOL!!!

As for weight...I'm not sure, but it doesn't pull much different than when I first brought it home as to last weekend when I pulled it to the track...

Again everyone, thanks for the compliments!!!! Glad I found this site for ideas and thoughts!!!
