It is a very well know brake controller.  Not as nice at the Prodigy, but it will work fine.:)

I used a Voyager before getting a Prodigy.  It did OK, but could be just a bit tricky to set up.  We seemed to have to set it up (level control) for every trip.  Once adjusted, it did well.  $18 isn't a bad price.

But you'll get my Prodigy when you pry it from my col...well, maybe that's an exaggeration, but I don't regret a penny I paid for my Prodigy.

I used a Voyager for 2 years and was generally satisfied. The only disadvantage is that it required some fine tuning on the road every leg of a trip due to small changes in the way we packed the camper and tow vehicle, changes in load weight (firewood, food, etc), and temperature.  I would just mount it where it can easily be reached while driving.  On the vehicle I used it on, I removed the ash tray and made brackets to recess it in the dash, sticking just far enough to easily adjust the thumbwheels on both sides.
